2017 FOCO COMIC CON Success!

Hero-making success! Nick and the Nicksters enjoyed two days of science fiction fun and fantasy at the 2017 Fort Collins Comic Con (FC3). The event raises money for the Poudre libraries through geek inclusivity and fun! FC3 raised $30,000 for the Poudre Libraries this year alone. Here are some highlights:
From set up to show, we enjoyed such an awesome community event.

Nick and Liz found a great geek winter hat.

Inspired and technically perfect costumes abounded!
Nick’s speech on the Inner Hero caused inner ponderings as the inner heros developed. Nick’s inner monologue says he is a super-genius.

The T.A.R.D.I.S. even landed at the Aztlan Center!
The table became a crafting zone for hero masks!

And of course the two Nicks. What an awesome job this year, Nick A! Stay tuned for more costume fun in our next post about the Comic Con.
Save the Date for FC3 2018 – August 25th and 26th
That’s a Wrap…Almost
From baseball bats to pesky flies, we’ve filmed it all!
Over the past several weeks, the Awesome in Action team has had the honor and pleasure of working with talented professionals- videographer Jaime Peak
and director, Cindy Peak, of the acting troupe Encore! Encore!
to make Nick’s idea for his “Nemesis Video” come to life!

Nick feeling quite excited about his film!
In addition to these amazing professionals, we were able to invite two family members, brother, Jason Roussos

brother Jason, worthy chess adversary
and Nick’s niece, Alayna Roussos, a beautiful and compliant young lady!
Also new to the acting world, Nate Zwisler, from Ripple Effect Martial Arts, has been a fantastic “ninja Nick.” He is very polite, and extremely talented. A blast to work with throughout the whole film!
We have had so much fun filming with friends and family! Along with the anticipation of a FANTASTIC FILM, we have made many wonderful memories that will always be cherished!
