Nick loves Estes Park, and Estes Park loves all of their local authors, so it seemed fitting to the AiA “Nicksters” that he would like to attend the Estes Valley Library’s 2nd Annual “Love Your Local Author Festival” in February.

So, on a bright, crisp February day, Nick and his job coach Audrey careened up the mountain road to reach the Estes Valley Library to set up their wares.

Nick and the team made some new friends during the event and he would like to tell you about them.  Roni Wing Lambrecht and her husband, John,  lost their only son, Dalton,  in 2013. While grieving her loss, she and her family created an organization to continue touching people’s lives as their son Dalton had done. In addition, she wrote two books advising parents to make a lasting and meaningful relationship with their children.

Roni Wing Lambrecht donned an AiA cap as she met the public and discussed her own book, Parenting At Your Beston mindful parenting and cherishing the time spent with your children.

Nick and Audrey had a blast making new connections at the Estes Valley Library. Thank you to the staff and all the participants for making such a great day!

Gary and I at Loveland Visitor’s Center

I, on the other hand, received a great hat that is quite an honor. My friend, Gary Light, gave me one of the few printed hats available for this tour…he’s just that generous kind of guy!

I met Gary Light at the Loveland Visitor’s Center a few years ago. He is a funny and kind man. I am happy I remain friends with Gary .

The Loveland Visitor’s Center is a great place to find locally made products, from seasoning to wooden craft. There’s so much to see and learn about in this store; it’s definitely worth a visit!
