Halloween Trunk or Treat with Fort Collins Best After School Program/Colorado Krav Maga

De Anna, Nick’s newest job coach, joined him at Colorado Krav Maga to participate in their trunk or treat!

Due to the weather, the event was moved indoors. The folks at the facility were very helpful in getting Nick’s wheelchair inside, and providing Awesome in Action with a large space to have participants play games and try out a speech device!

Bode Simmons, 8 yrs old, tries using a speech device to tell us his favorite thing to do!

Nick especially liked all of the creative costumes. Check out the Seals family, who dressed as the Addams Family! So Awesome!

This detective has deduced that Leo Haberkamp, of Colorado Krav Maga and Fort Collins Best after school program, is Awesome! Thanks for the invite, Leo! We hope to see you again soon!

Ripple Effect Trunk Or Treat!!

The Ripple Effect staff and instructors dressed in a Wizard of Oz theme, to Nick’s delight!

Thank you Ripple Effect for hosting such a great Trunk or treat on Saturday!

Nick was especially proud of facing one of his greatest fears… the Wicked Witch of the West….although he didn’t actually turn his face toward her!

Over 600 trunk or treaters came by the Awesome in Action booth to receive candy and stickers Here are Nora and Kal Nasif getting their Halloween treats!

Look at this giant Garfield! Nick is impressed!

We had so much fun! What a turn out! Oh thank you for the candy fairy that helped us out towards the end of the event! We can’t wait for next years Trunk or Treat! Nick was so happy he could be apart of the trunk or Treat!
