4th of July

For some reason 4th of July caught us off guard, life has been so busy! We were able to get quite a few bags of cady taped to business cards and some posters put together. It seemed quite rushed in comparison to previous events.

Once at the event we were astonished at our turn out of friends and family! Nick was so excited he did not know who to stand with. We got wheelchair’s, walkers and Nick’s Van all decorated, and the volunteers looked amazing; sparkling, lit up and energetic! Bags of candy were distributed between everyone, and we were ready to do our mile trek of giving candy! We couldn’t have done it without our volunteers! Thank you all for helping out!

The crowd was thick and never-ending, grateful hands were held out for our ware, the van driver was encouraged by the crowd to toot the horn, which she did with great pleasure. Nick smiled from ear to ear the whole time, waving and loving every minute of being in the parade!!

The end was finally near, floats before us had pulled over and had started dismantling their vehicles. Everyone was pumped from the experience, we took the decorations off the van and wheelchairs, and we all dispersed, settling for a while before the evening of fun!!

Happy Independence Day, Everyone! Until next year!…
