Trunk or Treat fun in the Spooky Season!

I hope you have a fun and safe Holiday. I had a great time this year participating in two local Trunk or Treat events.

The first one we joined was with Fort Collins Best located at the Holiday Twin Drive In Theater in Fort Collins, and boy was it big! We had over 600 kids visit our fishing booth!

Niki and Olivia came and helped manage the crowds! It was cold, but that didn’t stop all the kids from joining!

We met some really great people at the Trunk or Treat, and had constant lines of kids that wanted to try our game!

Nick met a few families dressed in group costumes! He really loved the Little Mermaid themed family that included Ursula!

His former speech therapist, Mallory, stopped by with her kids! They had grown a lot since he’d seen them last!

Nick’s favorite part of this Trunk or Treat was meeting the wolf from the Red Riding Hood story at the very end of the day! Here he is trying to be brave, with Niki by his side helping him to meet the Big Bad Wolf!

Last weekend, Nick joined Pharoah’s Car Club to have another booth at their Trunk or Treat!

Nick’s Aunt Jodie joined the fun, and Nick was very proud to show off his booth to her!

The booth was a lot of work, so this Fisherman had to take a quick break with his pipe!

Nick braved meeting BeetleJuice, but he didn’t stay with him long!

He loved all the creative awesome cars that were at the Trunk or Treat!

Fisherman, Brendan, Nick’s newest job coach, joined us in the sea for the event!

Thank you to all the members of Pharoah’s Car Club for inviting Awesome in Action to this event! Here we are with Beverly, the chapter president! These folks are always so kind and accomodating!

Have a safe and happy Halloween all of you awesome people!

Wild West Expo 2023

Nick and the Awesome in Action team were excited to return to Wicked West Expo at the Ranch Events Complex in Loveland on April 15th and 16th.

Olivia, Debbie and Nick manning the booth!

Nick had a booth featuring the opportunity to make your own superhero mask as well as offered a panel called Anyone Can Be a Hero about discovering your inner strengths and becoming a hero in your community.

Nick loved seeing everyone dressed up in costumes, and even wore some himself!

Nick loves dressing up for comic con!

Nick met some new friends, and enjoyed seeing some old ones including Power Ranger Anthony and Nick Armstrong.

Power Ranger Anthony is a young cosplayer that Nick met at last years Wicked West Expo, and Nick was impressed by his spirit and determination! Check out his website and instagram.

Power Ranger Anthony and Nick are a couple of cool dudes!

Nick Armstrong is a super cool guy who started Fort Collins Comic Con and is active in the Fort Collins community. He’s hosted TedX events in Fort Collins and ran for City Council! Nick owns WTF Marketing and has helped Awesome in Action connect with events and the graphic designer for our newest shirt release! Check out WTF Marketing here and his Facebook.

Just a couple of Nicks!

Nick’s booth also had a photo station, and some awesome kids made some really cool masks!

Olivia is a little unsure!

Nick met some new friends, got some swag, and posed for some pictures, and overall had a blast at the event.

Nick calls this a “sheep,” what do you think?

Nick loves going to cons, and Wicked West Expo has been an amazing experience. He can’t wait for Fort Collins Comic Con on August 26th and 27th, where he will again host an interactive booth offering the chance to make a superhero mask, and host his Anyone Can be a Hero panel.
