Awesome in Action on Amazon Smile

Nick and Jeff Bezos could be brothers!

With the holiday season fast approaching, Nick is getting excited to do some shopping!

We know this time of year is the time people are getting gifts, and ordering special treats for themselves and their loved ones.

We wanted to take a few minutes to remind Awesome in Action supporters of a great way to donate just by shopping.

Awesome in Action is a non-profit organization recognized by the Amazon Smile program. When you shop using Amazon Smile and have Awesome in Action selected as your registered charity, 0.5% of your purchases go directly to Awesome in Action with no extra cost to you.

To get to Amazon Smile, you can simply type smile.amazon.com in your address bar on your choice of internet browser. You do need to make sure you are on smile.amazon.com for the donation from your purchases to be processed.

To select Awesome in Action as your registered charity, go to smile.amazon.com, and underneath the search bar there is an option to click “Supporting:” where you can search for Awesome in Action Co.

All of your purchases, and donations generated by them are private, and no one can see your activity except you and Amazon, including the charitable organization you support.

A great way to make sure you’re always using Amazon Smile is by downloading an extension to your internet browser. These extensions will make sure you are always using Amazon Smile for purchases on Amazon.

If you prefer not to use an app, there isn’t currently a way to add extensions to mobile web browsers, but you can always just remind yourself to use smile.amazon.com in your mobile browser.

Every Donation Makes a Difference!

Nick wants to thank his supporters for considering making Awesome in Action their charity of choice on Amazon Smile. Every purchase makes a difference in Nick’s mission to spread awareness about those living with different abilities.

Fort Collins Comic Con – August 2022

Nick was lucky enough to be part of Fort Collins Comic Con at the Northside Aztlan Community Center as a vendor and panelist again this year!

Fort Collins Comic Con is one of Nick’s favorite events and he was so pleased to be back in person this year.

Nick’s favorite part of Comic Con are the costumes and cosplays. He gets a little anxious they might be scary, but has so much fun seeing everyone’s creativity.

Nick’s panel, Anyone Can Be a Hero, focuses on helping people find their inner strengths and super powers by focusing on what they are good at and how they make a difference in their community.

On Friday August 26th, Nick set up his booth, and Saturday and Sunday the con was on!

Nick’s booth featured a mask making station for people to create their super alter egos, and it was a huge success.

Nick made a lot of great community connections and shared information about Awesome in Action and his message with tons of people. He loved seeing the masks kids made to show their super hero alter egos.

Nick is so grateful to Fort Collins Comic Con, Nick Armstrong, and all the staff, volunteers, and other vendors who make the event so special. He can’t wait until next year!

What do you think Nick should dress up as at Fort Collins Comic Con 2023?
