Fort Collins Comic Con – August 2022
Nick was lucky enough to be part of Fort Collins Comic Con at the Northside Aztlan Community Center as a vendor and panelist again this year!
Fort Collins Comic Con is one of Nick’s favorite events and he was so pleased to be back in person this year.
Nick’s favorite part of Comic Con are the costumes and cosplays. He gets a little anxious they might be scary, but has so much fun seeing everyone’s creativity.
Nick’s panel, Anyone Can Be a Hero, focuses on helping people find their inner strengths and super powers by focusing on what they are good at and how they make a difference in their community.
On Friday August 26th, Nick set up his booth, and Saturday and Sunday the con was on!
Nick’s booth featured a mask making station for people to create their super alter egos, and it was a huge success.
Nick made a lot of great community connections and shared information about Awesome in Action and his message with tons of people. He loved seeing the masks kids made to show their super hero alter egos.
Nick is so grateful to Fort Collins Comic Con, Nick Armstrong, and all the staff, volunteers, and other vendors who make the event so special. He can’t wait until next year!
What do you think Nick should dress up as at Fort Collins Comic Con 2023?
The Masks of Fort Collins Comic Con 3
This August marked the 3rd year that Awesome in Action was able to participate in Fort Collins Comic Con!
Once again, we collected photos of amazing and exemplary costumes and masks in front of our skyscape. Some of the unique, creative & pretty costumes we came across were Hellboy, Kyle & Cartman from South Park, and Deadpool.
“The costumes were so good I was so scared, I hid in the elevator!”
We presented a panel called, “Anyone Can Be A Hero,” and this little guy, Adryian created a mask to add to his ensemble. His costume was Rocket & Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy. His grandmother and I talked about the possibilities of doing a Awesome in Action presentation at Adryian’s school, which got me pretty excited.
T-rex was my favorite because he was funny. He gave me a lot of Trex fist bumps.
I tried to bite Ponto’s head off in light of the zombie apocalypse that was happening around me. I enjoyed being with my crew that day. I want to thank Ponto, Ari, Thalia, Alex & Olivia for volunteering with me at Fort Collins Comic Con this year! If you are interested in volunteering with me for any of my events, please contact me at my website, awesomeinaction.com!
Looking forward to Fort Collins Comic Con 2019!
